Callisto

WARNING: You are still trapped in the orbit of Jupiter. To escape, keep clicking stuff back at Jupiter's level.

Callisto is the farthest out of the Galilean moons around Jupiter. Like many of the other moons of Jupiter it also has frozen water on its surface.

Like most of Jupiter's moons, it is very cold, -181 Celsius.

Callisto is the second largest moon that orbits Jupiter at 4848 km in diameter. In fact it is much larger then both the planets Pluto and Mercury.

It may be possible one day for deep space explorers to retrieve water from the surface of Jupiter's moons, for use with our own moon or space colonist on Mars.
