Tethys is an icy body that is made of almost entirely of water ice. Tethys is very cold in fact it is about -305° Fahrenheit or -187° Celsius. Tethys has an enormous trench named Ithaca Chasma that is several kilometers deep and about 40 miles or 65 kilometers wide. It is so long that it covers three-fourths of Tethys' circumference. Another big feature Tethys has is an enormous 400 Kilometer impact crater named Odysseus.

Tethys was discovered by Giovanni Cassini in 1684.
