The astronomer W. Herschel discovered Oberon in 1787. Oberon is the farthest from Uranus, of the major studied moons around Uranus with a distance of 582,600 kilometers. As you may have already discovered, Oberon is only a little smaller than Titania, being about 1013 miles or 1520 kilometers in size. Compared with other Jovian moons, Oberon has a surface that is of little interest too most space scientist. Yet it still has a mountain which is twice as large a Mt. Everest and is considered an icy-moon,
