Pluto

Pluto, the ninth planet in our solar system, is by far the farthest known planet from our sun.

Pluto unlike the closer terrestrial planets such as Earth and Mars, or the Giant Jovian Gas planets such as Neptune and Jupiter is a planet type all its own.

It's believed to be mainly made up of rocks and ice and unlike most other known planets in our solar system, its orbit is elliptical.

Pluto has one moon named Charon. But unlike other moons, both Pluto and Charon seem to orbit each other, in a sort of cosmic dance.

Pluto is also the smallest of the nine official planets in the solar system. In fact there are seven moons in our solar system which are bigger then Pluto including our moon.

It is thought that Pluto is made up of about 70 percent rock and 30 percent ice.
